With rave reviews highlighting the HB spicy chic sandwich and classic options like the Cuban and an Old Fashion BLT, there’s something for everyone. The praise for the sandwiches is unanimous—many diners, including Jay Duncan, rave about the fantastic taste and generous portions, making Blake’s a must-visit.
While sandwiches take center stage, Blake's also serves comforting soups, such as their chicken and gnocchi soup, which has received high marks from patrons looking for a warming accompaniment to their meal. However, some guests have expressed that they hope menu items beyond the main event will match the same high standards as the sandwiches; few have mentioned the sides could use a little enhancement to be as memorable as their sandwich selections.

“ The food here is so delicious the staff is very friendly and helpful I very much recommend to eat here in asheboro!! ”
“ Absolute fantastic sandwiches and the chicken and gnocchi soup was absolutely fantastic. Would definitely visit again. ”
“ Excellent. Very casual atmosphere, you order at counter, they bring to your table. Chicken gnocchi soup was excellent. Not just a broth with some cream...great flavor and texture. Sandwiches were quite filling. I had the Italian...better half had the chicken salad. Both were delicious. The wedge style bread reminds you of a cross between pizza and pita. Not thin, not thick. well cooked but not crispy crust, soft on inside. If i had to find a problem it would be that they are too far away from us for lots of return visits. But when in the area we will most definitely go back. Two people whole sandwich each, plus small soup each, and two sodas ..before tip 32 bucks. ”
“ Best sandwich by far. This is not your ordinary sandwich. Gavin was our server and was very knowledgeable and attentive. You have got to try this place. It is one of my favorites now. ”
“ We really liked the sandwiches but were a little disappointed by the sides. The bowls were not full and the pasta side was not good to any of us at the table. The broccoli salad wasn't bad though. The restaurant atmosphere was nice and thank God not freezing cold like some places! ”
“ This was a very good place to stop on our trip. We had the HB spicy chic sandwich. It was very good. There is a pretty good variety of sandwiches and there is also soups. The restaurant was very clean and staff were friendly and nice. ”
“ We were passing through Asheboro and looked up a place to grab a sandwich. This had a good rating so we opted to go and try their sandwiches. A unique bread but well prepared and portion was good. We both opted for half sandwich. My husband got the Cuban and he said it was good. I got an old fashion BLT. It was good. The bacon was cooked right and enough bacon. Kudos to Blake's Half Baked. ”
